Spicy Penne & Cheese

A great alternative to the classic mac & cheese, have fun with this recipe by adding extra items each time you make it.

Ingredients - Feeds 4

Penne 250 g
Cheddar 250 g
Milk 750 Ml
Butter 75 g
Flour 2 Tbl Spoon
Crying Boy Peri Peri 75 Ml
Salt add To Taste

How to Prepare

1 Add butter to pan on med high heat, once melted add flour and stir until the mixture froths white.

2 Add the milk in small amounts and whisk until smooth and shiny.

3 in a separate pot boil the penne until al dente.

4 Add the Crying Boy chilli and two thirds of the cheese to the sauce, whisk until smooth. Add salt and taste.

5 Mix the pasta into the sauce then spoon into an oven safe dish, top with the remaining cheese.

6 Bake in a 190C oven for 25 mins or until the cheese has browned.

Allow to cool then serve.

Experiment with adding veggies and other proteins, fry them in butter before adding to the sauce when you add the pasta (in step 5).
